C.C. Dickson Co. and its predecessor companies have remained focused on customer service, strong values and commitment to employees for over 70 years.

Perhaps that’s one reason the company has grown to become one of the largest wholesale distributors of heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration equipment in the Southeast as well as one of the most technologically advanced in the industry.

A Bit of History
Founded in 1933 as D & J Supply, the company's name changed the following year to Henry V. Dick & Co., and the young company grew to five branch locations with headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. Members of the Dickson family acquired the company in 1953.

Over the next 18 years the company expanded rapidly in North Carolina, South Carolina and the greater Atlanta area, adding 20 branches. During 1972-1974, the company opened another 17 branches.

The year 1976 signaled a name change for the firm, to C.C. Dickson Co., as well as the start of another period of branch location growth: this time into Tennessee, Alabama, Florida and Virginia.  

Today into Tomorrow
Today, with 113 branches in nine states, C.C. Dickson Co. combines technology and teamwork as it continually strives to become Best Supplier to its customers.

This year, C.C. Dickson Co received recognition by two of its vendors:

Emerson Climate Technologies awarded its Full-Line Wholesaler designation. Currently C.C. Dickson Co. has more locations (58) with this designation than any other wholesaler in the United States.

Honeywell Corporation recognized C.C. Dickson Co. with its Residential Diamond Distributor for 2006 designation, making C.C. Dickson Co. one of only 14 Diamond Distributors in the United States.

Though it has aggressive growth plans in place — opening two more branch locations in 2006, with plans to continue opening branches at an even faster pace in 2007— C.C. Dickson Co. stays focused on its strengths and values. This is a strategy that has proven successful for more than 70 years and one that continues to benefit the company’s employees, customers and communities.
